Dude, I'm alive, I swear!

So, for the last month I've pretty much fallen off the face of the LJ-Earth. It sucks. I hated it. But I'm going to try to make a better effort not to do it again.

So it wasn't until I started my new job that I realized just how much time I actually spent online with Yahoo and LJ while I was at my old one. Man I miss Yahoo and LJ.

The new job is going though it is really meh. It is not the career that I will have for the rest of my life. But for right now it is what it is - it pays my bills. When I find something else I'm leaving. The end.

I've been out to dinner with my old boss, Robin, once already. We've been shooting each other emails, chatting on the phone, and I'm going to meet her on Wednesday evening to have dinner. It saddens us both that I left and that it was honestly the right choice, given the economy and the state of the boating industry. If things pick up then she's going to hire me back, no doubt.

I got done the last bits of my writing obligations for 2008 - woot!

I wrote an angsty Dean/Sam piece for spn_j2_xmas located here.

I wrote a Christian Kane/Jared Padalecki piece for xmas_kinkathon located here.

Phew! Never will I be signing up for that much stuff all in a short amount of time. Silly, silly me.

Let's see what else...

Oh, so I may as well list what I've already signed up for in 2009. Get them out of the way early and hopefully be done with them.

picfor1000 fic based on this picture It has to be 1000 words exactly and is due by Feb. 28, 2009. Plenty of time!

I am going to finish a spn_j2_bigbang fic this year, and it is going to be my long overdue Sweet Charity fic for the wonderful amara_m. 20,000 words. Rough draft due May 1st. *gulp* But yay for that much RPS!

I need to write a BtVS/The Fast and the Furious crossover piece for satyrnfive.

I'm behind on birthday fic so I will attempt that when I can.

I'd like to sign up for sncross_bigbang which is only 15,000 words. However, I'm not sure I can get it done. And I'm not really a fan of the "checkpoints" that are set up. Perhaps I just need to email chosenfire28 and find out if that is really necessary. I understand it in theory, but I never well with deadlines. Bad me.

In other exciting news, the other morning my wonderfully fabulous avamclean made us these kick ass icons. I heart her like whoa!!



Just another fine example of why I love her so.

I'm sure there are other things I should be rambling about that happened over the last month, but alas I can't remember.

I was realizing the other day just how much I'm really on the net and how at my old JOB I'm amazedI got anything done because I think I'm on alot right now....jeesh!
