Normal is all relative, right? Normal for the Winchesters is not necessarily normal for us, but I was going more for normal for the Winchesters.

I'm always torn about how I feel about John. On one hand I'm kinda glad that we don't see much in the way of flashbacks because I end up disliking John each time we do. And I don't want to dislike him. I want to understand that he did what he did given the situation...but it is hard.
